For years the question came in a few times every season and we answered it with regret: can we stay out overnight? The day fleet — RIBs and open cruisers — said no. The arrival of our two cabin yachts changed the answer, and with the Fairline Targa 43 “Passion IV” joining the fleet with two proper cabins, overnight and multi-day charters have become a real part of what we do. Here is how they work, where they go, and who they suit.
What a multi-day charter actually is
It is not a cruise ship itinerary in miniature, and it is not bareboat sailing with you at the helm. It is your day-charter experience extended through the evening and into the next morning: a crewed yacht, an unhurried route, dinner ashore in a harbour village, the night at anchor or on a village quay, and a swim before breakfast in water nobody else has reached yet. The crew handles everything nautical; you handle the swimming and the appetite.
Why nights change everything
Day trips, however good, share one constraint: everyone goes home at six. The anchorages empty, the village waterfronts exhale, and the best hours of the Ionian — the violet hour after the day boats leave, the glassy stillness before nine in the morning — belong to whoever stayed. On an overnight charter, that is you. Lakka with the bay to yourselves at sunrise is a different island from Lakka at noon. The same applies to dinner in Loggos when the last excursion boat has gone: the village stops performing and simply lives, and you are there for it.

Three itineraries that work
- The Paxos Night (2 days, 1 night). South through the sea caves and Antipaxos beaches, dinner and a quiet night at Lakka or Gaios on Paxos, then the west coast at dawn before the day boats arrive, and home via a long lunch. The classic first overnight.
- The Slow Ionian (3 days, 2 nights). Paxos, then across to Sivota and the Blue Lagoon for the second night, returning along Corfu’s east coast. Two countriesides, three swims a day, no repetition.
- The Border Run (2 days, 1 night). The Albanian Riviera done properly — Sarandë and Ksamil without the clock, overnight back on the Greek side. Passports required, as with our Albania day trip.
All three are sketches: actual itineraries are built around your dates, your group and the forecast.
The honest practicalities
Sleeping aboard is genuine yacht life: cabins are snug and clever rather than hotel-sized, the water moves you gently, and mornings start with light on the water. Most guests love it; honest expectations make sure of it. Meals split naturally — breakfast and drinks on board, lunch and dinner ashore in harbour tavernas, which is half the pleasure of the format. Weather gets respected: multi-day routes flex around the forecast, and your skipper will always trade a windy crossing for a calmer alternative.
What it costs
Multi-day charters are quoted individually — route, season and vessel move the number too much for a useful flat rate. As an anchor: day charters on the yachts start from €1,400, and an overnight extension builds from there rather than doubling it. Frequently asked questions
How many people can sleep aboard?
The Targa 43 sleeps four comfortably in two cabins; the Sundancer suits a couple. Day-guest capacity remains ten on both — some groups sleep four aboard and lodge the rest ashore in the harbour village, meeting for the days.
Is there a bathroom and shower?
Yes — both yachts carry a marine head with shower, plus the swim platform shower that everyone actually uses.
Do we need any sailing experience?
None. The yachts are fully crewed throughout — you are guests, not trainees.
When should we book?
Earlier than a day trip. Multi-day blocks remove a yacht from the day fleet, so July and August overnights need real lead time. June and September are kinder on availability and arguably finer on the water.
